I have several extended family members that eat steak this way. It's tough to watch. My older brother once asked for ketchup in a fancy steak house in Kansas City. I thought they were going to throw him out of the place.

I have 3 daughters and they make fun of their boyfriends when we cook steak and they order it medium or well done. Now that's a proud moment as a father for sure.

was on a guided Turkey hunt several years ago down around Coleman. Everything but beer and liquor was included. Evening dinner rolled around and the ol ranch hand brought out a big platter of ribeye steaks. He slapped on a grate over an open pit of mesquite fired coals. He asked each of us how we wanted our steak. Most said rare, or medium rare. My buddy requested well-done. the old rancher pointed the big long fork at him and sternly said. "I aint ruining a perfectly good steak. You get medium rare, or rare. like a real man is supposed to eat. Or you can haul your a55 to town and eat at McDonalds with the rest of the women and children."

I dated this woman one time, who's idea of a great steak was out of the package, into a Pyrex dish and broiled. No spices or flavoring...nothing. 45 minutes and flipped once. We didn't last long at all.
