Anybody selling you "detox" is full of horsehockey. And losing 10 - 15 pounds in a week is extremely unhealthy.

What Kattelyn said. Be careful with that. Medical folks do not recommend more than a week at a time and then a break for a couple of weeks at least.

With that much fiber I would plan on carrying a few extra pairs of skivvies with me.

Done this one. You will have other issues besides gas.

Life long plan.
1. Eat healthy foods, more veggies than meats, but balance.
2. Eat in moderation.
3. Exercise

Of course lots of day to day adjustments, but basic plan.

Stay away from as much as possible
Sugar
Alcohol
Carbonated water
Foods just for taste and not nourishment

It’s ok Ron; carbonated water like Diet Tonic water is not bad for you
The rest of that stuff and Marlboros will kill you

What’s wrong with carbonated water? I drink Topo Chico like crazy.

Carbonated water is fine
We are carbon based life forms that are 70% water for crying out loud

Re: The Cabbage detox soup plan - 02/17/20 06:22 PM

Detox is necessary for some drug and alcohol conditions
For unhealthy eating/dieting cutting out sugars drinking water and exercising is beneficial
Colonic stimulants and enemas can be harmful and typically aren’t recommended

Used to have a strong British accent up until the early 90s
Faded into a “are you from Canada accent?”in the mid 90s
Now it’s a bland Dallas accent
My parents stopped being able to understand what I’m saying around 1997

Both my dentist and doctor told me years ago that carbonated water was to be avoided. I have and do. Worked out real well for me. Ya want to drink carbonated water, drink it. If you want to drink it you can find all sorts of information on net to support that, and vice versa.

Oh yeah, can't wait to hear how this works! Might want to add a pinch of eye of a newt, a toe of a frog, some wool of bat, blind worm's sting and don't forget a scale of a dragon! woot

So your buddy lost 15 lbs in a week? Did he also tell you how he gained back 20 lbs over the next 2 months after that?
