Fort Worth is a waste land for good Chinese food. Arlington isn't much better except for First Chinese. Going there for lunch. anyone else have a local favorite?

My old neighbor was a retired health inspector for the city. She would not eat Chinese food.

I ate there many a time when I lived in Arlington. I agree that they have some good eats there. I liked their combination fried rice.

Most Chinese folks won't eat what they cook at their restaurants. Something I heard long ago.

I have The Meteor here in Huntsville. Looks like a dive that couldn't score 50 on a health inspection. But the food is excellent. Made the news earlier this year because two customers got into a fist fight over the last crab leg on the buffet.

There's a Vietnamese place in the same parking lot on the other side that's really good too. Great pho and vermicelli.

Down 377 past the Texas Grill on the same side of the road is/was a hole in the wall Chinese food restaurant. They served old school covered dishes and fresh hot food. It might still be there...

Dallas doesn’t have the best selection of Chinese restaurants either.
I’ve tried a lot of the big name Dallas places as well as some in the Asian areas in Richardson and Garland and none of them are stellar
In general, there are a lot more good Thai, Vietnamese and sushi restaurants than there are Chinese.

Find the upper middle class Asian neighborhoods to locate the best Asian restaurants
Ideally, the menu will be written in a language you don’t recognize

Bob, one of my favorite Sushi places is down here by Ratz and I. Pretty sure you work close to here, over in Sprocketville. Highly suggest this one. Have not had a bad item yet and by far the best Crab Rangoons I've ever had, hands down.
Hokkaido Sushi and Steak houseCant get that link to work, try this....

A few years ago I was in Hong Kong, walking on a water front street I stopped at an open air butcher shop, noticing a selection of ready animals and fowl hanging, I asked the owner, " I think that looks like a cat there, and thought they were sacred to you people" He looked up and said "You right, GI, my cat sacred, that cat not my cat"
Oh well, his Brother was a hell of a tailor.
