Everyone I talk to tells me they are taking Vitamin D supplements and serious ones. Drs. are prescribing like 50,000 I.U. a week pills. I had to take Vitamin D prior to and during my spinal surgery to help grow bone over screws and rods. A Dr. I know thinks that they are seeing deficiencies in most people because of the Sunscreen UV protection lotions and fear of skin cancer. They say 15 minutes of Sunlight per day is plenty of Vitamin D for most humans.
