It's sad that these kids had to learn this lesson in such a permanent way. Perhaps some of their friends & classmates will learn from it.

Interesting... the version I read on CNN earlier today had a slightly different tilt:

'someone heard one of the boys crying for help."help, I've been shot."
it was assumed that someone (implied defender) was using an assault weapon
and it was said that while this would be a 'stand your ground' case, it was implied that that it was wrong to do so.

This will be investigated and if one of the perpetrators was shot in the back while attempting to escape, look out.

That’s why I keep high capacity magazines in my AR. You never know how many teens are going to rob you at once.

Do you know, this is my new response to comments about "high capacity" magazines.

And no, I'm not taking the original thread content lightly. My view is that the three young criminals suffered the natural consequences of their foolish actions.

Why would anyone buy a magazine with less? I'm heading out plinking and want to reload as often as I can...said nobody ever. Duh.

My ten round magazine that came with the gun is hidden in the back of the cabinet covered with wipedown cloths to save me the inadequacy embarrassment.

This can all go away in a flash. Change the name from AR-15 to Multi-Shooter 13 (MS-13) and the Democrats would be instantly in love with it and no longer want to ban them from the country.
