Dude . I grew up in TN and all everyone talked about was that little brother was a better QB than Peyton. Heard that the ENTIRE time that Peyton was at UT. Eli was not that good in college and only got drafted because of his name. Don't be so sensitive.

You gotta admit 2 Super Bowl rings, 2 Super Bowl MVPs and 45 passing records in college is pretty solid drafted on his name or not.

Defense gives up a 91yd TD drive on first drive, cant stop the Giants on second drive so far but yet its Dak"s fault...amazing your dislike of the man. He made some solid throws and drove them for a TD. You have said repeatedly this defense is special.....not so far anyway.

I dont care how he looks throwing the ball...he is more than serviceable in that regard. He wins. That's all that matters. It's rare you can point to a loss being his fault. He might not win the stats and fantasy junk but glad he is here.

This is so far superior to play calling under Garrett as head coach since he’s been here. Taking lot more shots downfield. Not being so dang predictable and running first then forcing 3rd and longs. Very impressive first game for the kid. Hope we can keep this style of play calling going all year!

Don’t understand the Giants play calling. Why would they go away from the run as early as they did. Their defense can’t stop anybody and they could play keep away by just giving the ball to 26. Heck, they could move down field faster with him running than dumb face trying to throw it.

As great of a win that was, the defense has major issues. They picked right up were they left off in last years playoff game. The run defense is porous. Barkley could have easily rushed for 200 / 250 yards. That has to be corrected.

Yes they did not look too great but I doubt Barkley could have easily ran for 250, that is a hell of a feat. He only had like 120 and 60-70 of that was on one carry. I was surprised that the D never sacked Eli, oh well, it was a good win and it usually takes the defenses 2-3 weeks to catch up to the offenses.

Open with the Giants then Washington and Miami. They should be 3-0 by the time they go to New Orleans to play the Saints. That’s a litmus test game. They have the Patriots in Foxboro on 12/5. That’s the game on the schedule to see if they can ba playoff threat rather than just in the playoffs.

Other tough games on the schedule are Viking and Rams in Dallas.

They should beat up on their division. Really 11-5 should be the first over and under on their record.

Really good game for the boys. Cooper, Dak, Cobb, and Gallup had the passing game on point. O-line looked good. Zeke was irrelevant.

Defense looked just OK, but Barkley has made more than few defenses look bad in his short time in the league. I agree that we'll know more after week 4, unless they don't start 3-0 (in which case we'll know more sooner than week 4).

I agree, and Zeke was irrelevant but he was probably the reason Dak was able to throw it all over the yard. They appear to be loaded but if that D don't take a big step it all will be irrelevant.

Possibly. I think it had as much to do with having 3 good receivers as Zeke's impact, although we'll never know. I don't know I've ever seen a Cowboys team in my life with more talent at WR. Their 3rd WR had 158 yards. But I'm sure the Giants D was keying on Zeke as well.

Zeke definitely didn't have much opportunity yesterday. I'm sure Jerry and Jason will give him a chance to earn that paycheck against some teams with better offenses. That's one reason they weren't too worried about putting a big workload on Zeke yesterday is that they weren't trying to keep it away from Eli they way they will be when Brees, Rodgers, and Brady come to town.

After looking back a good bit of the Giants yards came in trash time when the game was out of hand. I also think perhaps they were just trying to get to the end of the game with no injuries or heat exhaustion. The lack of QB pressure was a little concerning but I don't think the overall performance of the defense was as bad as it looked.

Its going to be a pick your poison deal, this is why it is so important to have a balanced offense, there are too many weapons on offense to shut it down, only thing that could happen is if Dak does not play well, I really do not see that happening, he made more of a believer out of me as far as his passing goes, he about to be really rich.

How about a round of applause for Jon Kitna. I'm pretty sure he had a hand in Dak's improvement with accuracy, confidence and reads. Dak was getting the ball off quickly and to the open receiver. Best I've seen from him. clap

"More of a believer," I have always has confidence in him as a winner, just was not convinced on his passing skills, after yesterday he showed that he can pass well. If that defense gets to where most think it should this team is going to be very dangerous.
