Vulture strike kills two on motorcycle

The vultures are human hunting.

I got a hornet inside my shirt one day on the scooter.
Not a pleasant experience, but not as bad as a co-worker who was nearly decapitated by some sheet metal that flew out of a tradesman's truck. He did not survive.

Stuff can happen in the blink of an eye . . . . . . and it does.

Profound.
If you ride a motorcycle take these words to heart.
And never, ever blink.

Love the idea of motorcycles, but love the idea of reducing my chances of an ugly death more.

That's why I'm 70 and no, I don't ride any more.

My son raced a number of times on Phillips Island in Australia, a track notorious for huge seagulls flying on the track during races. He never hit one, but here is a video of a super bike taking a hit.

There's many many more but the closest I came to getting hurt was 3 blocks from my home.

Right...and I'm 72 bc I've never owned one. But hey.....The Lord knows when you will leave this Earth and HOW already. You have no control over that. May the 2 RIP

They're like cigarettes huh, sooner or later everyone dies. I don't have any verifiable stats but they tell me more people die drowning than on motorcycles. I think operator error is usually the main culprit on motorcycle deaths but that holds true for cars and boats too. I almost died in a car once when I got T-boned by a catering truck. I must be real lucky.

If they would do this, they would kill a wiener dog. I knew it!

Everyone, no matter what you do, is gonna die.

Eat right, exercise, don’t smoke or drink, and die anyway.

Now, I don’t get stupid but at my age if I don’t do something crazy it’s not because I’m afraid I’ll die. It’s because I’m afraid I’ll survive.

Hunting, fishing, Harley riding, bacon and eggs, red meat and potatoes, BBQ and beer. Family, friends, and America.

I dont ride outside the city limits at night here cuz they're to many deer lurking just off the road.

That is no lie.

I lost a real good friend in a wreck with a deer. He was driving 55 mph in the daytime in Colorado when a deer jumped off the side of the road and hit him right in the chest. He didn't have a chance. RIP Jug

I'm telling ya!! I hit one on my way back to OK from Fork back in March going 80+ Somehow it flew across my windshield and I just got him with the driver side mirror. Those things are expensive btw. If I would have hit it dead on through the windshield, it could have been scary

Can't even imagine hitting a vulture, I took a Blue Jay to the face shield of my helmet at 70 MPH and a Cardinal to the chest one time. My chest was bruised like I had been hit by a line drive baseball two days later. Both times I was covered in blood and feathers.

I knew 3 people who drowned taking a bath (not together). Doesn't keep me from bathing.

Just got back from Terlingua a few days ago. Me and the Brother-n-law. Yes that brother-n-law.

Man I have come so close too many times. The Lord loves old fools on Harleys I guess. I’ve ducked under a deer, dodged road gators, and managed to escape a pod crash. Dodged plenty of cars and trucks too. I did take a small road Gator on the right shin thanks to a newbie rider. Cracked my shin bone even though I had on thick leather chaps. That hurt and he heard about it.

It’s amazing looking back how it was not my time for some reason , now I’m not rolling the dice as much . Recovery time and after effects are hell to pay when you are long on the tooth .

Not me but a riding buddy of mine had a dove fly from the side and into his wifes helmet under her face shield.

She almost wrecked them before he got stopped. She called her mother to come get her.

She Refused to get back on then or to this day. Still funny.
