Heck no.
I am in the market and looking at F-150s... some nice late model used ones out there for good prices. Would like a Toyota but equipped like I want they are just over the budget... But RAM!? Heck nah.
I suspect y’all still bass fish with Ambassador 5500’s also?
Bahahaha!

I am a Chevy guy, broke down and bought a New 2019 Ram. Love it so far. It is the Best looking truck inside and out by far. The interior is so far nicer than the GMC and Ford it is not comparable! I also got the 100,000 mile warranty....just in case. I may sell it at 95,000

Re: Truck of the Year - 01/14/19 07:00 PM
BIL got a fully loaded RAM 1500 4x4, not going to lie... that thing is nicer than any Ford or Chevy right now.

It's all subjective. No real proof one is better than another. If you like it that's all that counts but you'll never convince me your's is any better than my Ford FX 150.

Went home to Ojai California for two weeks at Christmas, rented a new 2019 Ram 1500 crew cab 4x4, I'm a big guy , it didn't have the head through the door height, or enough leg room com[pared to my Ford,
but , damn , didn't see the HEMI badge on the side, that thing ran like a striped ape !!

Re: Truck of the Year - 01/15/19 03:05 AM
My Ram 1500 gets 30 mpg highway going to work and back, tows my boat and travel trailer, rides great, and has a better interior than equivalent trim Ford/Chevy/Toyota/etc. And somehow it cost less than the rest too.
Maybe one of these days I'll like it less when it falls to pieces on me, but that day hasn't come yet.

Seriously, here in the rural areas there seem to be a lot of Rams working, go back into town and lots of Fords and Chevys.

This really ticks me off, I just bought a 2019 GMC Denali 1500, had I known I would have done the same thing.
I was going to buy the 2019 GMC Denali, I actually waited for it to come out. The tailgate ruined it when I found out you had to remove the receiver hitch to lower the tailgate. The Longhorn Laramie is so much nicer on the interior than the Denali that there really is no comparison. My GMC that I drove had 278000 miles on it so I know it is a good truck...I will find out how this Dodge holds up with my fingers crossed….

Not sure about that tailgate thing, I do not have a receiver hitch on mine right now but I do not see having to remove it to drop the tailgate down, really does not matter to me because I will probably never use 5 of the 6 options that the tailgate has.

I'm in the same boat. Started my search for a new truck open to pretty much any brand and it's becoming painfully obvious you either buy a Ford or pay through the nose for what you need and pray it doesn't break. I own a Dodge now and I love the darn thing and a lot of the major issues I have had are completely my fault, but all the little issues that add up to big money are just wearing me out! It's amazing how cheap some of the components on these trucks are! I know Ford has their issues as well, but from my perspective, everyone around me either has a Ford or wants one... The brand new stuff may be a different story, but the 2 or 3-year-old stuff I've been researching is all pointing me towards a Ford.
I'm enjoying mine. 2019 Ram 4x4 Limited. Talk about creature comforts while still pulling the boat just fine, this truck has it. Best riding truck I think I've ever been in. I never really liked Dodge, but I like this one.

LOL, I bet there are going to be some pissed off owners, I am going to start looking for the new 2019's and see how many of them have a boogie on top of the tail gate, I suspect there will be several. Glad I will never use that function because I would be one of the first, lol.

so I guess you want to pay less now and more later. Not to mention the trade value when you do. I would rather pay a little more upfront knowing I can get it rather than pay for repairs.

I am 100 % GM and have been since about 1980, that is the stupidest thing I ever seen, why in the world do we need a 6 function tail gate ? It is as stupid as that commercial they made with all the dudes carrying tailgates.
