Usage of jk on the OT

Since we’ve hopefully returned to a police state, relative to grammar and spelling, I have a question.

At times, a quip intended as humor, and left as a reply on the OT can spawn a butt hurt epidemic. Perhaps the quip just isn’t funny, and at other times the injured party is just prone to butt hurt. (No pun intended). Maybe it’s some other reason.

Is it acceptable to overtly signal the attempt at humor by placing a “jk” (just kidding) after the potentially offensive statement - or does it come off as kinda ghey, and make the whole situation maybe worse?

In Texas we just start with ‘Bless his heart but’ and then you can say anything.

What he said. After “ Bless His Heart”, anything is fair game in Texas.

Never heard a guy say it, but my older female neighbor says it all the time. Along with sweet baby Jesus to affirm something is true.
