Hand made knives new hobbies

First time making a knife from a bolt! Was harder then forged in fire guys make it look Hahahhaha!!

about 5 hours small forge small anvil just getting setup. keeping it straight was hardest part before flatting out bolt head for knife blank

That’s cool I’ve always wanted to build a primitive forge and make knives like that . So is that the finished product ? You going to put a handle on it ? Re-shape the blade ? Details man !

hahaha no not finished yet. got to sand blade more and sharpen. as of now I like it as is blade wise for skinning.it actually fits my hand good . Forge is a hell’s forge propane off eBay for 160$. Cheap little harbor freight anvil .

That's what I was thinking. He made the best knives in the World! The guy worked 28 hours a day and lived in a mansion.

And to the OP, that is cool. But it would be cooler if you were able to take a knife and make a bolt out of it.

I bought one from him for my dad. Wish I had got one for myself.

This looks precisely like I imagine a knife I would try to make would look.
