butch sanders
You know our house, and you have installed some vents, have been thinking of having the blown in insulation done, how will that affect our vents ? Not really sure we can get to them to shield them , especially over the add on area.
after the insulation is blown, take them off & clear out the area
in the main house it shouldn't be an issue, the add on is tight
i will come help if you show me how to use my metal detector correctly

We have lived in our home since 1973 & it was built about 1971. First improvement was storm windows. They were expensive & we could not tell much difference with them or without them.
Next was more attic isolation. Best money we ever spent on the house. The biggest difference was in the winter. The furnace does not run much & the house was much more comfortable.
