Chik-Fil-A

Chik-Fil-A - 02/16/18 01:15 PM
I just don't get it. No matter what time of day I drive by there, it is freaking packed (unless Sunday). And not just our location, I mean any and every Chik-Fil-A is always packed. I chuckle every time I drive by there at the people lined up, wrapped around the building. The one at DFW airport is the same way.
I just don't get it. I've eaten there a few times. It's just chicken.

Good service, good diction, decent food and a smiling face make for a better fast food experience. There is a difference.

They're supposedly opening a drive-thru-only version in Rockwall/Heath soon. It'll have cars around it 24/7.
Friendly staff, good food, fast service. It really is simple.

Chik Fila is terrible, the most bland boring fast food out there, I can't recall the last time eaten there, and it was only once or twice
I might suggest trying out the mobile app. You order and pay online, press "I'm here" when you get into the parking lot, and it's ready for you at the counter, no waiting. Only downside is that you occasionally get some nasty looks from the people waiting in line.
Maybe those waffle fries think you suck

My daughter has worked for them 2 years now while attending college at Ole Miss. Last year she earned over 17 grand, they treat the good employees well. She's been promoted 4 times. Every time we go to a chik-fil-a the service is great, for most part and they are very pleasant (and fast). And as far as the business aspect they have it figured out. We eat there regularly and support them.

The Colony chick-fil-a manages to suck as much as any other fast food restaurant. Never much a line at that one
Chik fil a is awesome. Comparing them to a fried chicken place is stupid, two completely different things, they cant really be compared to anywhere that I can think of, they have their own thing going on and it works.

Re: Chik-Fil-A - 02/16/18 02:20 PM
I'd like them more if they had a decent grilled chicken sandwich. Their grilled chicken sandwich is under-seasoned and doesn't taste grilled.
I think fast food places have figured out that it's mostly kids eating their food.
Thus, the menu is geared toward them. Little nuggets/tenders and dipping sauces
I wouldn't mind owning about 5 of them.

Always wonder how they hire such cookie cutter employees. Robot like. No small talk. Same greetings.
I have a friend that owns several locations. I’ve got to pick his brain on training procedures.
Awesome business model that is always consistent.

That pickle slice is the best part of the meal. It's been years since I ate a chik-fil-a, it will be a long time before I eat one again. Never impressed with their food.

Consistent, clean, fast, good fresh food. That said, I'm pretty burned out on C-F-L due to the wife's obsession with the place.
Agree with WAWI on the waffle fries - Unless they are straight out of the fryer (and they rarely are) they pretty much suck.

It is a well run business that does have pleasant and polite employees who have been taught how to treat their customers. You won't see any taking a nap at the cash register. A model others need to follow. I am not sure their stuff is all that much healthier than the others. However, they have some folks believing so. Kind of like the old saying - You can fool some of the people all the time and all of the people some of the time, and that's good enough. I do know one thing - the soccer moms like it and bring their kids with them.
