Hello

Im buying a used kayak my budget is tight
And i have 2 options

Ascend 12' old model

And

Ocean kayak drifter 12'7"

Any conment, advice are more than welcome

Here is a link to the reviews. Only negative I see is if you are over 200 lbs, prepare for a wet ride. I owned one for a while. Easy paddle, very stable. Only negative was the wet butt and really no way to avoid it.

I would still choose the OK over the older Ascend.

Not sure on your price point, but I have seen a few retailers putting out the old stock on clearance. I just picked up a Pelican Catch 120 Angler for $377. But I saw a few Perceptions for less than $400. This was at Dicks/Field & Stream in Prosper.

I have an Ascend FS10 and it works fine for me, but it is the only kayak I have ever had.

I picked up an ocean kayak caper off craigslist for $100 it has served me for years now.
