Same thing exactly on Lake Athens: bass chasing shad all around the boat ramp. I wanted to try a new rod and some equipment so I went over Wednesday and a few of the bass looked like they were going to come all the up the ramp and onto dry land.
Many boats a few weeks ago launched and never left the general ramp area for a long time . . . just sat there catching schooling bass.
