Rhino Lining

Anyone else Rhino lined the bottom of their Yak. I have some river rash and a small leak. I'm thinking about Rhino lining the bottom to help with this.

Id think it would add too much weight

Use a can of Flex Seal? It works on TV lol

sounds like a good idea, but would it create more friction in the water too?

I don't think putting me all over your keel will help anything.....

You can use Marine Tex.

I've been told it causes drag.

There's a video out there of a dude that uses pieces of tarp, a spackle spatula, and a blow torch (to heat the spatula).
Check on TKF.

He places the tarp pieces over the gouges on the keel and uses the heated spatula to melt the plastic and fill in the gouges.

Do a little plastic welding and filling to fix the leak. I reattached a whole bow that way and it hasn't leaked in 2 years.

I have used it on a small leak. It works but rubbed off the next time I loaded it on the concrete boat ramp.

I tried it on a crack in the skylight in my travel trailer. It just made a mess. It probably would have worked if I added some material between 2 layers.
