How long have you been.........

I just started thinking about the range of age groups we have here, and the various experience levels of kayaking here on the TFF site.
I had a couple questions.
How old are you?
How long have you been kayaking?

I'll start off with,
I'm 45, and have been kayaking for about 16months.

42, canoeing 34 years, kayaking 3

I'm 28 and this is my fourth year kayaking and wishing I started doing this about 10 years ago.

Kayaking for 6 years!!!

18, kayaking for about a month or two now.

60 and yaking about 4 years... Started way to late... I know how to fish, but yaking is still a new experience... some day i will get good

50. Kayaking about 3 yrs.

39. 3 years

48, just started yakking-Hobie Oasis. now I'm hated by the majority tho! lol

68 plus and kayaking, 12 months been fishing out of a float tube or wading,have had a canoe for a short time, wish I had got a kayak when I started fly fishing in the early 60's but now to make the best of it, just love it.

In any outdoor activity, these are the ones I like to see-the 'young guys'! I was lucky enough to fish/hunt/camp/boat most all of my life. I hate to see or hear when someone never got the chance to enjoy such. So when someone in their teens or younger is getting out there, it's good to see.

I just turned 64. Been kayaking since I was about 14. Caught my first fish (4 lb Steelhead) from a SOF kayak in about 1964 if I remember correctly.

37 and 3 yrs

27 and yakin 2 weeks lol

58 yak for four years love every second of it

49, been paddling fishing yaks for 6 or 7 years. Fished out of canoes and float tubes since I was a kid. The SOT kayak is the greatest thing since sliced bread IMO.

36, couple three months I guess. I got my kids out on a pond today, they had a great time paddling. I hope they will stick with it.

35 and 4 years

43 - Canoeing 22 years; kayaking 4 years

62 (last week) and never. I've been thinking about it though.

There sure is a lot of old dudes in here...

64, and I think I pretty much date back to the dugout canoe.

Seriously though I used to fish out of a flatbottom woood boat, but out of a plastic boat it's been about 6 years.

for sure, not many people my age out there that are in love with fishing hahaha

39 and holding be 40 this month. Kayaking 1 month fishing my whole life.

39. 3-4 years yak fishing. 95% of all the fishing I did before the yak was at the coast during the 1-3 weeks I might get down there each year.

I'm 14 and have been kayaking a year and a half

24, fished on and off out of a yak or canoe for about 15 yrs. Just sold the bass boat so we're strictly yakin now.

26, kayak fishing for 9 years, fishing my entire life (mostly at the coast).

42, this is my second year kayak fishing.

50, bought my first kayaks during the floods of '07. Have three in the fleet, an have'nt been on the water in one for over a year now. Rivers have run dry 'round here, just waiting for the next flood.

I'm 15, been yakking for 5 years.

28. Been kayaking and [freshwater] fishing for about 2 days. Been surf-fishing since I was 10, I think.

I'm old enough to know that I should have bought a kayak many years ago.

I'm 37 and have been yakin over 4 years now.

My first yak...

29, yakking for about 2 yrs now. But in that time I've crammed 189 trips (not all fishing), just shy of 1000 clock hrs on 17 bodies of water so it's been a helluva 2 yrs.

New here, 31, been fishing all my life, but just got back form my first kayak fishing experience. I recently bought a Perception Pescador 12' and took it to Purtis Creek St. Park. Having never fished there, and reading all the big bass reports, I was disappointed to not catch a single bass. Oh well, I did have a blast in the kayak though, and can't wait to add more stuff to it. Looking for a good gps/fish finder...

52 and bought my OK Drifter about 4 years ago. Even though I live in Dallas She's seen salt water more than fresh!

Easy young'un. Who had to go home early last week cause they we feeling bad?

fishing for 30 years.

kayak fishing for about 25 years. Dad bought me a kayak when they started flooding Arcadia Lake near Edmond, OK.

53 and 45 yrs with canoe in the BSA since 1966 , pirogue several home made versions through the school years ,and kayak 5 wood = 2 s&g and 3 strip built until 1986 then plastic til now with another stripper in the early stages

45 yrs old and kayaking for the last 9 months.

26 and been yaking for 5 months now! I dont know why I didnt buy one sooner!!!

39 and been yaking for 1 1/2 years. Bought my Scrambler first as a way to fish different waters and then when I sold my Skeeter in Feb I bought my Coosa as my main form of trasportation. Still miss my boat but have really enjoyed fishing out of a kayak. Seen alot of new water and got away from just fishing for bass.
