My Kayak Lesson

Well I finally to get take a Kayak safety course on Grapevine. I just hope Thursday wont have any rain "LOL"

Good work. Do you feel that the safety course was informative?

I take it the coming Thursday, I do think it will be worth it to see that I apply what I have learned in the correct manor.

It is like when I took motorcycle courses, I had ridden for over 40 years but I still learned a lot more about street ridding and when I took the off road course I learned a lot more that made it easier and more enjoyable.

Please report back. I also have ridden for many years and took the MC courses. I have had boats and been around the water my whole life but am new to the kayak world and am thinking about the safety course myself

Will do, these guys have doing instruction since 2000. They will give individual lessons on any lake in the area to fit your time. Mine is at 10am Thursday.

I had a great day on the lake with Mike from Kayak Power. He walked me through the safety items and how to use them as well as the different strokes and what they are used for. I does make a big difference on paddling correctly and more efficiently.

For me it was well worth taking the course.
