Brazos - Where to stay?

Interested in doing the Brazos (either near PK or below Whitney, no preference) for the first time this spring. Does anyone have any recommendations on where to stay with a bed (not a tent) thats safe to leave the kayak at overnight?

So you are not wanting to do an overnight trip right?
If it were me I would go to Rochelles, it’s just outside of Palo pinto.
There is a small motel there but I don’t know the name of it, it would be the ONLY one though.
From Rochelles they have a. 10 mile trip that’s pretty easy to do in one day, and they will pick you up and take you back to your truck for a fee.
That’s not much but I hope it helps some-

I have drove past this place when I fish the dam below PK...
I know nothing about it but looks to be a decent place and close to Rochelles. Check the picture out from google maps and has their number.


I say call them cottages on the corner is just north of the 16 bridge on the curve going east to Rochelles.

Looks like they have another property too on the lake not far too.
