Friendly Competition - 09/16/20 06:30 PM

Hey guys! So I have thrown this challenge out there a few times over the last year under the catfish forum side but wanted to see if anyone’s interested in a friendly competition/tournament over here? I’m an avid cat fisherman and fish solely out of a canoe. The winner receives bragging rights only clap. At the end of the day it’s all about fishing, having fun, and getting to know everyone a little better! Plus I enjoy looking at everyone’s trophy fish pictures! Here are a few rules:

• Start Time: 6:00am 9/19
• End Time: 11:59pm 9/20
• Anyone can participate (it’s just for fun)
• The picture provided must include the fish and scale weight
• Must be caught on rod and reel fish
• The 3 largest fish with a combined total weight wins (bragging rights) cheers

I've seen kayak catfish tournaments measured by length but never by weight. I know for some it's not easy to get an accurate weight on a catfish in a kayak.

Great point! It’s just for fun so we can definitely change it to length. Let me know if you're interested.

I wouldn't change it just cause of me that was just a thought I had. I sure wish I could enter. Too much going on this weekend.

It’s just for fun so anyone that can see this post can participate regardless if they are in the local DFW area or not. I’m getting a lot of interest so maybe one day I will do something more official but for now it’s open to anyone. Catch fish, weigh or measure them (depending on what you can handle), take pictures, and post them back to this thread.
