Kayaker towed 15 miles by record marlin

Just saw this article and the pictures and video are incredible.
He fought a 500# marlin for over 6 hours in a kayak.
Guy must know what he is doing as last year he caught a 450# marlin.
About 14 minutes into video you get to the good part where he touches the leader to make it official and then the marlin starts jumping out of the water.

I like to think I could have stayed in the fight for 4+ hours, but I'm not sure that I could do it! His arms had to be toast!!!

That's a guy who is very experienced at fighting big fish from a kayak. Those swells are a lot bigger than than they look from the GoPro. I've been in swells that big and bigger in my kayak offshore. I couldn't imagine fighting a fish that size in those swells. Amazing skills!

What is the kayak/Marlin world record ?

I don't believe there is anything official. kinda hard to measure a big marlin from a yak. But this is the unofficial world record.
