8 mile in Galveston

This may already be old news to ya'll but just in case... I'm no longer a yakker but rented a bay house off of Sportsman's road last weekend. Noticed that they have the entire area at the end of 8 mile road (past the left onto Sportsman's) closed off for development. So to fish that area, you need to hand a left at Sportsman's and launch at the little turnaround at the end.

In other news, we limited on trout, reds and flounder all in that area.

Thats the official yak launch anyways isn't it?

Going down there in Jan or Feb for the first time ever.
