NTXKC Lake Ray Hubbard 2019

Last regular season event for the North Texas Kayak Championships. After prefishing the East Fork of the trinity a few times without much luck I had to pick a spot I thought I could catch a limit. Normally the river would be an easy choice and no doubt be the best place to go, the issue with that area was the amount of water being released from Lake Lavon. The release before our tournament was up as high as 2800 cfs and that current made conditions for me anyways hard to target and catch bass. I only managed 3 in 2 trips. So I decided to launch next to I-30 and pedal around to Bayside and fish the marina and the rocks along I-30. It was a grind but I managed to get a limit and cull one fish to put me in 5th place out of 41. I got the last payout spot which was my entry fee. Had a great time and had a pretty good year over all. Here is the video I got from the day.
