Lake Levels

Lake Levels - 09/23/18 03:18 PM

I was looking at this web site as the lakes filled up and thought to share it,

https://water.weather.gov/ahps2/index.php?wfo=fwd

I have used it for years as it is updated hourly, so as a boater I knew if there would be floaters in the main lake and as a kayaker knowing that ramps might open up to power boaters. Great slop fishing this time of year for bass and catfish when the lakes fill up like this. Enjoy!

Bert, great site!

I have used another but it lacks some of the information this one you shared has.

Lake Athens? Barely a nudge up in water levels thus far. We don't have a major river system or tributary feed into the lake, just watershed, rainfall, springs.

Some of the lakes around the flooding areas in D/FW really spike up, don't they?

Cheers! Brad
