devils river shuttles? - 12/14/17 05:26 PM
Been doing some reading
Do the shuttle services on the devils river really charge 600-800 dollars?
Is there a cheaper option?

They do charge that, if not more. Keep in mind most all of the river is rugged, inaccessible, and bordered by private (and rightfully protective) land/owners. Additionally, the roads are rough on vehicles, and it is a 2-3 hour drive RT for a drop off/pick up.
A cheaper option might be to visit the Del Norte unit, camp and paddle that stretch for a day or two. It is about a mile hike down to the water from the nearest parking area, so keep that in mind. The Pecos offers more affordable routes/shuttles from my experience.

Thanks for the input^
When I first found that out I couldn't believe it, especially for merely a shuttle and not a guide, but time is money and so is supply and demand..
I will look into the Pecos.
