10 ft Pelican Boat Leaking - 09/30/19 07:42 PM

I have a 10 ft pelican bass boat that has a leak somewhere. The pontoon part is taking on tons of water and has to be drained every time I take it out. I cant figure out where it coming from. Any suggestions?

Likely the seam needs to be resealed. Not hard just time consuming if your wanting to separate the two halves. Iirc theses a thread here where a member separated the two and showed the insides. Im surr he used a sealer of some sort upon reassembling.

Drain it out overnight, then put it in the hot sun to warm up the next day. Use a spray bottle filled with soapy water and squirt around the seams and other suspicious areas, looking for bubbles. Air should be pushed out through any holes as the boat warms up, but bubbles may not show if it's a very large hole, or many medium sized holes. Use aquaseal if you find the leaks, follow the directions on the package.
