Lake Conroe Help - 06/13/17 05:37 PM
I am looking for a boater that fishes Conroe that I can meet at Stowaway that can show me a safe route north to the next bridge and once we get there, still have the ability to come back south. It is my understanding that there are quite a few hazards getting up there so looking for someone that fishes that end to show me the way. I have been to Conroe a couple of times but do not know how to go north and could use some guided help.
if anyone interested in this, give me a shout.
Thanks

Have you seen this? It at least helps give a big picture perspective to the hidden disasters.

When you run it report back... I was gong to post this same request myself. Map looks easy to comprehend, but hesitant to head up that way.

This may help if you plan to fish up there a lot. Hook-N-Line map paper or SD Card for your electronics:
http://hooknline.net/products/f105-lake-conroe-hard-copy-fishing-map-with-gps If you have a Lowrance HDS gen 2 or 3 unit their included map shows the hazardous very well of Conroe and most every other Texas lake.
You can study the Navionics online map as well to get a feel for all of the depth changes.

I called and talked to hook n line but they said their map only shows waypoints but does not have any boat Lanes at all. Do you know if there is a map chip out there that shows that hazards on Conroe as I cannot find one on boat lanes.com website for the lake. Thank you.

Hook N Line has "recommended" lanes but only for the north side. Here's a picture of my map.
run the path you see here and you will be fine. I run that all the time when I have fished up that area.
