Partner For Private Lakes

Partner For Private Lakes - 05/26/18 02:03 PM

Looking for a Retired Tournament Fisherman to share all expenses in fishing Private Lakes all around the state. We will have some investment into a couple of rigs to get into lakes that have boat ramps and those that do not. Having a 14 ft. rigged out alum. boat will be a big plus on your part to save us some time and money. We will be on the water at least 2 days per week and will require staying a couple of nights in the area where these lakes are located. We will be starting with the lakes that are close to the DFW area making day trips until these lakes are learned; then moving to lakes that are farther away.

There are about 100 Private Lakes in Texas to choose from. I would like to pick the best 50 with your help. Catching is so much better in these special places than the larger lakes. I have become spoiled fishing Mexico all these years and would like to get as close to that experience as possible for the time spent on the water at a fraction of the cost.

Thanks for your consideration.

From my research some of the top lakes are like $250 per day and they supply the boat. We will most likely be the only one on the water. Send me your information and lets take a look.

Thanks,
Donald

Wish I was retired, this sounds like it would be a blast.

Well you really don't have to be retired; just have a job that we can go a couple of days each week, during the week. This insures that we get to fish the lake that we would like to fish that week. More lakes are booked on the weekends.

Let me know if this can fit your schedule.
Thanks,
Donald

I welcome anyone's help in developing a list of Private Lakes to visit other than Private Waters Fishing. I am sure there are many scattered around the country that I have missed. Gathering knowledge is the first step. I will be glad for us to go and fish those until I find a partner that can fish on a weekly basis.

We can go the Econo. route and make a long day of it close around the DFW area for around $250 each for the day. Some of these are bank fishing only; but have big fish.

We can hit some of the Med. size lakes fishing when we get there until dark; then again the next morning until 11:00. These have a place to stay over night with a couple of meals provided for around $350 each.

There are also excellent managed lakes to go to on big ranches all over Texas that will book two or three days ranging in price from $750 each to a $1000. Most are all inclusive with boats. Of course these are not in the Camelot Bell class; but I expect to catch several 5 lb. fish each day.

I would like to visit one lake each week if possible. Give me a shout if you would like to see what they have to offer as opposed to the big water.
Thanks,
Donald

Setting up the first reservation next week. Let me know if you would like to go and share expenses on a two day trip the second week in July. I am going to one of the best lakes so the cost for each of us will be around $600 each which will include:
- Lake fee $400
- Food and gas $100
- Motel $75 unless you want to share a room.
- Miscellaneous expenses snacks, ice and etc.. $25
