Lake Alan Henry Working Man's T Friday Night Bites - 05/03/14 06:24 AM

We fished the Friday Night Bites working man's T and had a great turn out. 19 anglers showed up to fish. We contributed to Gary Bennett again as he won the T with 2 unders for 3.26 lbs. 2nd place was 2.78 lbs on 2 under fish. Lake Alan Henry has a slot limit of 18" minimum after 2 fish. 2 fish can be either spots or laremouth, but a 3rd fish must be over 18". He caught his fish with a blue fleck worm. He also won big bass honors with a 2.01 lb spot. Congrats to Gary! Other fish were caught on CBs, jerkbaits (hard) and assorted soft plastics. Hope this helps.

Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

Is that lake as terrible as it sounds?

Nope, many people caught upwards of 15-20 fish during the T, but limits only allow you to keep 2 under 18", so if you are fishing for BIG fish, then yes, it IS relatively tough to find them, if they are not on beds. BUT, if you are fishing numbers of fish, quite a few are being caught, but again, you can only keep 2 under 18", spots or largemouths. Hope this helps.

Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

2 weekends ago, a 10+ and an 8+ came out of it, off of beds. Last weekend, several 3-5 lbers were caught as well.
