No significant hazards. Some shallow water on the upper end of the lake and a long point that comes out further than you think down by the dam.

Very prominent point down by the dam can be a great spot to locate some fish this time of year. Check it out on google maps: 32.926423,-94.734169

We usually slow down and drop off plane if we go up lake beyond the two islands (32.962514,-94.719219). Never run into anything up there, but I know there are a couple, only a couple, isolated pieces of timber up there. Also some of the lake's only lilly pads are up that way.

Plenty of boat houses to flip as well.

We usually find very good numbers there, but not much in the way of size. If you get above a 5 in that lake you have gotten a really nice fish!

Also note, there is a do not consume advisory for Lone Star (aka Ellison Creek). http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/regulations/...-and-advisories
