Got on the water a little before 8:00am to try some hollow-body frog and Senko action. Fished for 1.5 hours without a strike. There was some schooling going on behind me in deeper water, so I say "why not?" The schooling was sporadic at best. I did manage to catch some fish, not in the explosions but just by continuously casting in the general area. Caught two around 1 1/2 pounds each on my 1st cast. After that I caught 6 that were decent 3-pound fish. I lost 2 others, one of which I could never turn to the surface. I would have liked to have seen that fish. Around 11:00am, the schooling completely stopped. I tried some other areas with different lures but nada. It was getting too hot to just keep guessing as to what to do, so I called it a day at around 12:30pm.
