Holiday Fishing

My plan for the fourth was to go somewhere that would be quiet and not overrun with partiers. I picked a good location for that on the Guadalupe, but it was fairly muddy and I couldn't find anything but small fish. Still a decent day. Then yesterday I tried a "new" area on Canyon Lake. It was very fishy looking, but I didn't have much luck. Lost a couple small bass at the boat and a few bites that got away, but I did catch a new species for me- warmmouth. This spot has a lot of potential and I will definitely be back. Most of the fish surfacing seemed to be carp though.
