Southside Lions Park is near my job, so I stopped by after work yesterday to try to catch some stocked trout. It was an absolute waste of time, like the other few times I tried fishing there. Tons of birds but no sign of a fish anywhere. Has anyone ever caught a fish in this lake?

That lake is my neighborhood lake, and a lot of people fish there after it's stocked, and that's about all they do is fish with very little catching.
I've caught some stocked catfish after a stocking, but never really fished for the trout.
I usually observe the people who are fishing, and I see very few bent poles when I do.
I've watched the comarants swim and dive and come up with those stocked trout and be so full they just swim up to the bank and stand around because they can't fly.
TPWD does a great job of keeping those birds well fed and happy.
Bag limits are not observed either by the birds or the folks that fish there, just sayin!

Yeah I tried Miller's last year for trout and didn't see anyone catch anything and I had only one bite.
