North Converse Park

Yesterday afternoon I got to try the other park pond in Converse. I didn't see many fish, only a few jumping in the middle of the pond. I had a jig and another hook with some meat on one pole and didn't get any bites on that. The one fish I hooked was a small bass while trolling a trout spoon if you can believe it. He was probably 7 inches, quite small, but he got off the hook at the boat. I didn't see anyone else catch anything, but one guy at the far end said he caught some sunfish with worms and it looks like his was fishing them on the bottom. The only thing I actually landed was a Redbull can.

Overall not a very promising spot at least from my one impression. I will bring my kids here though to paddle around as it is small and shallow.
