Caddo Lake

I'm taking my 5 year old to camp at the park for a few days. Would like to catch some crappie and bream. I figure I'll put in at the wma and explore around there as well as at the refuge. Never been to either place, only stayed on Caddo once before and fished around Mill pond. What's the best way to catch some panfish right now? Jigs, worms, crickets? No spots requested just basic info about what works on the lake. Much appreciated. Kdub
