Fishing has been good for numbers with the occasional big fish thrown in. The bass are shallow hitting plastics and swim jig, and probably anything else you like to fish. And the crappie bite is on with the fish shallow. And even the occasional catfish jumps on. Water temp has been in the mid 60's and clear. If you decide to give it a go and have not been there in a while it is $17 to get in.

Speaking of the Ramp, with the water down the ramp grade(s) make it hard to load my boat!

That ramp is a pain in the backside. With it being almost 4 feet low, getting in and out will be a pain. $17; what a joke!

For $17 they should launch your boat for you!

Up until last year, I had a two wheel drive truck. I use to drive to Coleto Creek from Katy at least 10 times per year. When the lake was at its normal level it was a struggle but manageable getting my boat out. I went one time when it was this low and had to have another truck hook on to me so I could get out. Needless to say that was the last time I went there with my 2 wheel drive truck. So I got out of the habit of going. Nice little lake to fish but that ramp/lake level combination can be a challenge pulling out.

I like the lake, but the slope of the ramp is not continuous, there is a pretty big gade break within the concrete section as well as the asphalt to concrete.

I plan on fishing this lake for thr first time this weekend. I have a bay boat that sits pretty high up on the trailer. It launches better with steep ramps. Guessing I will have issues from the comments??

Should fine getting it off. The issue was getting back on, (not a deal breaker), bow was below the winch, so I drove it on part of the way and then had wife pull up some and then winched it the rest of the way.
There was a guy that launched his at an angle taking up both slots at one location, not sure what or how that helped, but just an FYI

So they think people are going to pay $17 to fish there? The big lakes don't even charge that. I can see that for camping, but not for a day of fishing.
With a crappy ramp, bad facilities and a high fee.... Guess we will be taking this lake off our schedule.
Sad thing is a really like this lake. Oh well.
