Lake Texoma - First time - 12/09/19 05:55 PM

Heading to lake Texoma for the first time this weekend to do a little black bass fishing and any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Where to stay...
Where to launch...
What part of the lake to fish......
What to throw.....

Thanks again for any tips.

I always fished for bass around Eisenhower state park. There is a marina on the left (separate cove with expensive big boats) as you come out the ramp cove and if you go towards the back of that marina its not super deep. I had some luck back there with spotted bass and largemouth. I can get my kayak back behind the boat slips and catch them back there just have to watch out for the big steel cables. I seen a small bass boat get back there once not sure how they go t back there but it is possible. Smallies are usually in the area but more towards the main lake and the points in my experience. Not sure what to tell you to use this time of year. Striper fishing should be decent main lake though.

Make sure you have a Texoma license or OK will find you and give you a ticket when you cross the boundary line.

Not kidding, unless you are sure you will only be in Texas waters.

And good luck, fun lake to explore and fish.

jerk baits along the bluffs on the south side have always worked for me in the winter.
