sure was slow today. Caught a few before 9:30 shallow on buzzbait but after that nada. Lots of fish at the 18' mark but for the life of me I could not figure out a bite. I tried the dam, trees, points and humps and could not get bit on any of the 8 rods I had rigged. Water temp was 93 when I left at 2.

I will always tell a bass angler to keep an ultralight in his arsenal! Hot Bluegill action is hard to beat!
Bluegill fishing is too much work and I was taking off work not to work.
Bass I do not eat. Bluegill I do. I don't like to clean fish because that is work. See above.

Where are you catching the bluegill, I'd like to bass fish near those spots.

BMCD...Probably the same places you are fishing for bass in the spring...I fish for bass in the spring, fall & winterl at Fayette as well. The rocks at the dam, reedbeds on the east side of the lake, underwater tank dams, and trees. When the water heats up and the bass head out to deeper water, the bluegill and red ear move in...
