How many of us Lady Anglers fly fish??

I just started about 2 years ago, I really do enjoy it. I have been a baitcaster for about 35 years, now I'm trying fly fishing. I am not a "yuppie" fly angler, I am a REAL AVID fisherLady!!! In fact I can hold my own against my husband any day.

Just wondered how many real fly fishin lady anglers we have.

Thanks,
Nan

Hi Nan,

I've never been fly fishing but would like to learn it one day. I have no clue as to what to buy, etc. I know two other ladies in the same situation. my friend and I baitcast or use a spinning reel to fish.

Keep outfishing your husband!

i have experimented with flyfishing... i know i my technique would cause a double take for some...but it works... i have flyfished for trout in Utah & Oklahoma...for crappie and bass in TX.. and anything from oscar wading in the everglades.. to tarpon in the Keys...
now if i could only stop tying knots behind my back.. catching my hat.. and slapping line.. i would actually consider my experience with fly fishing not an experiment...lol...
may the fish scream your reel...

I have not ever fly fished but I think I would love it. I can remember being in the boat (aluminum john boat)as a little girl and watching my mother fly fish for perch in Arkansas. Sharon

Ladies, I wished I had seen this earlier. I just got back from TPWP Fishery in Athens, they had a fly fishing class for all. If you are interested in learning, call the TPWP Fishery in Athens this week and ask for education dept. They were schedualing some more stuff for March, and the casting pond right now is full of trout.
