6+ inch rain

6+ inch rain - 05/04/19 12:22 PM

It came hard and fast. Still running in and out. The + is because I only have or ever needed more than 6 inch. Not many fish feeding. I expected a lot of property damage but it is minimal.

Well Dave here in East Texas that would be just a good shower, LOL. Many times have been over 20 inches and a few times over 30.

Ponds need to be well built here with natural spillways. When they are built right, even Hurricane Harvey can't take them out.

Hope you didn't loose any fish.

Larry, hard to tell about losing fish. I don’t really know how many the water turkeys left. I stocked 15 pounds of fatheads and 20 four to five hsb’s last week. Getting 300 4 to 5 inch bg’s Monday. Bass probably next year.

Great rain. Dropped all the algae in my backyard pond. Cleared it up real well.

Six inch rain will do a pond mighty fine! thumb
