Thanks guys for all the replies, it made my sons day! My little girl who is 12 was in the boat with us that day and she was the one taking the picture. She landed a huge 25 inch hybrid bass that day as well. She was on her spinning reel and was using a slab, which she is deadly with. Matter of fact I copy her when she jigs anything, because her presentation is so effective. She is a teacher at heart and has helped my little guy learn the ropes, so that catch was just as much her doing as it was mine. She was my first fishing partner and can pull a full 5am till 9pm day without a complaint (as long as she gets to go swimming to cool off).
Yes, I was wearing a trash bag, kids came first with rain gear and I just red necked it.

Congrats on twins!! I have 3 kids 18yo boy, 12yo girl and 5yo boy. Camping and perch fishing got them hooked. My eldest loves hunting way more and luckily I married me a farm girl who's daddy owns 5k acres, my son basically lives there,lol. But my other two, though they like to shoot and hunt, both have a strong passion for fishing. My liitle girl wants a pink Ranger bass boat and my little boy wants my jon. So just introduce them to the wild believe me 18 years go by in a blink of an eye! You will be glad you made all those memories.
