RECALL ON SMOKELESS TOBACCO

I am a heavy dipper and just thought it was appropriate to post this. It pertains to Copenhagen, Skoal and a few off brands and is only associated with the products that are manufactured at one plant.
On the back side of the can at the bottom there is an item code which relates to this plant. The first letter in the code is one of the following: F, R, K or P. The recall says do not open or use. It is a voluntary recall. If you have questions go to their website.

I used to work for UST before they got bough out by Altria. This does not surprise me that it would happen. First our Ice cream and now our Snuff.... Whats next recall on Miller Lite?

What's up with changing the color of the ink from black to white?? I can't see as well I as use to and this white ink on the bottom stinks.

Mine current can is VI, but my can from 2 days ago is a K can lol hope I didn't get any metal.

I think it was a load of cow manure instead of tobacco leaves accidentally used in those cans listed...

I agree who started putting the white on the bottom.. Argh. Hard to tell the Freshness.. Well other than taking a dip. Mine has a NS starting Guess I'm good.

Thanks for the heads up, just checked and it looks like I am good to go.

Just read this to a coworker and my can was good but his started with a K. He's halfway through the can and has not had any problems thus far lol.

Let us know if he doesn't make it to work tomorrow.

Good thing they issued a recall. Not sure that anyone would've been able to tell the difference.

I thought there was a WARNING on all tobacco products.

I heard they have metal shavings. Mainly the brands with plastic cans. I read it at the site. Suggest you read the recall if you bought them.

I quit dipping in 2008, best thing I ever did.

You definitely did a good thing and I bet your family is pleased also.

If that is the case the users will think they did something to make it taste better
