I caught a couple of small ones this morning. Both were in about 6-8 fow. One on trig 8" worm and the other one on a SK 5XD chart/black.

Really slow fishing. Not many big ones being caught.

It was really slow yesterday. I only managed a few small ones. However, I didn't put in a very good effort. I was on the phone or email for work more that I wanted. So much for playing hooky... hammer

I've been doing pretty well out there up to yesterday. The prior week I had 3 over 5# in the first hour. Lot of schools of small shad are in the backs of creeks or pockets. Wolf packs of small bass or sandbass are chasing them. I have no idea about the deep bite.

They are chomping at night right now. Been catching them 5-7 lbs range main lake. Best bite has been 1-4am... I've been going out around midnight and fishing till 6am then head to work.... Good luck

Been tough, small ones (12-15") shallower in the 6-8 ft, went out with a guide today and we only boated 3, and boated 6 the day before. Now the 3 we caught were good fish, as were the ones yesterday. But we only fished deep water, as mentioned above, today.

Id heed the tip on getting deep personally and if you can fish at night thats another great option this time of year.

Goin' to give it a go Wed. try early for topwater bite, then hit some points try deep water crank and C-rig some creature baits, hoping to get some bites before I melt out there. It will be a coin flip in a.m. as to where to launch, buck, jorden, or sanger. See ya out there, Blue Triton, p/pls, say hi.

Got this momma out there on Saturday, 27 feet of water on a point. Football head jig with a Biffle Bug. Long and skinny, look like it was on it's last leg.

I went out yesterday morning. If you are looking to catch 6-8 inch sandbass on top waters until your arms fall off, you will be in paradise.

If you are looking for other types of bass, I caught a few like the one below in submerged willows with a t-rigged Baby Brush Hog in watermelon/red flake. I didn't try any deep open water because of the wind.
