The old Beetle spin still catches LOTS of fish, so does a Jitterbug. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

- Same jig for 36 years.

I'll occasionally throw a Bomber Long A jerk bait from the early 1980's. I also have, but don't use, a Creek Chub Darter that I used to catch river bass with at Camp Pioneer (Boy Scout camp) near Mena, Arkansas in the 1960's.

Found 2 sacks of worms in the back of my closet that I bought around 1980. Still in great shape and have caught a couple of fish on them. Back then they were known as "chicken foot" worms because of the 2 floppy "legs" . These were 2 of the popular colors back then and they were blue fleck and the other is motor oil/orange tail.

Guess it you keep worms in a protected environment, they'll last forever.

Do you fish that Rat Fink on 65+ lb. braid...lol? That would be a costly loss if one broke your line! I fished them back in the 80's, but they didn't catch as many fish for me as the Crazy Shad or Devil's Horse. And I still fish both of them today. Another oldie I fish is the old Wobble Heads with the Creme Scoundrel worm on it. Not sure if anyone is still making the Wobble Heads or not. I looked at the guy on here that was selling "Wobble Heads" but saw that they are not the originals. I think at times they were made by Cordell, Arbogast, and Wobble Head in Monroe, LA. I THINK!

Arbogast Jitterbug, Musky Jitterbug, Mudbug, and Hula Popper; Pico's Pico Perch, Pico Pop; Bomber Pinfish, Model A, Waterdog, Bomber, and a floating twitch bait that floats vertically; Herb's Dilly; Bass Buster Scorpion and Tarantula; Mister Twister spinnerbaits, buzz baits, and plastics; Tom's Minners; Shannon Twin Spinner; Al Foss Shimmy Wiggler; Bass Pro Tornado spinnerbait; Heddon Zara Spook and Wounded Spook; Rebel Super-R, Deep Wee-R; Bagley Balsa B; Original Floating Rapalas; Smithwick Devil Horse; and several others. I know some of these are valuable antiques, but as long as I continue to catch fish on them, I'll continue to sharpen the hooks and throw them.

There's one I still throw once in a while that I can't remember the name of. It's a crankbait with a plastic skirt tail and a metal keel that enables it to come over timber, even with its two treble hooks. Anyone know its name?

+1 on the Pinfish, they are great for ripping thru the hydrilla grass and just the right wobble.
We bought all we could find when they stopped making them but now only have a few remaining.
Also have not found anything like them from other lure makers.

I still have a bag of Plumb Sensations I use every once in a while and a bag of the old Riverside Top Guns.
I still remember the day I got broke off using my dad's last Herbs Dilly on a stock pond I was fishing. He had already passed on and I couldn't get it out of my mind he was probably looking down at me thinking " Will boy, you've done it now!" I had that bait hanging in my garage and only used it about once a year for old times sake.

Sillybass-which one are you talking about still using today? The Rat Fink or the Wobble Heads? If you are speaking of the Wobble Heads, the hot Summer time is best for them. The hotter the better. And around here, the red Wobble Head with the natural color Creme worms is most people's favorite. And the slower the better!

As with most Bagley's lures, it depends on the color. I just did a quick search and found that if it is one of the older ones, anywhere from $15-20 on up to over $100. If it is a common color (like TN Shad) it would be on the lower end. I saw a CN (Natural Crawfish) for around $45 I believe it was and a Blue Crawfish color that sold for $127.50. You can look on this site to see the name of the color and the rarity of the color Colors of Bagleys
