I truly believe if they are willing to drive 75-100 miles each day to the lake that Lewsiville, Roberts or Ray Hubbard could easily be a great site for them. They can find places to host Expo and weigh in easily in DFW.

I really don't fill like any of the lakes around DFW other than Cedar Creek or Richland Chambers are big enough for them to spread out like they want to. And neither one of those lakes have big enough ramps. And casino's have been close by in most all Classic's lately.

Lewisville, Roberts, RC, CC have all handled hundreds of boats for Champs easily. There wikll only be 55 boats in a Classic anyway. If 30,000 acres is not big enough for that few boats we are in trouble....

I see it back east somewhere. My guess is Lake Chickamauga. They can do the weigh in in Chattanooga less than 30 miles away. Big bass factory right now

I hope so. This is by far my favorite classic location.
I just don't see them going to a DFW lake. I'd really like to see them do Toledo Bend and weigh in/ expo in shreveport. Would shatter all the records. I hope they go back to the delta. Such an awesome place that creates a unique dynamic for the biggest derby in the sport.

Evers bag today would be tuff to bring to the scales anywhere they might go. South Louisiana is fishing great these days. Tuff to win a tx with less than 20# a day in cajun country right now.

I think the Mobile River delta would be interesting. It would be a shallow water tournament and interesting to see what choices do they make. Say near lower marsh with higher numbers but less big fish, run up river for bigger bass but less numbers. Does someone get bold and run across the GoM into MS or LA to fish???

I actually watched a Bassmaster event at White Rock years ago. They did part of it at Richland Chambers and part of it at White Rock. Not saying that they should ever do it again but it was fun to be a spectator from the bank. Davey Hite was casting a trick worm basically right in front of everyone feet and kind of giving an on the water clinic with Q&A from spectators while he was doing it.

I had a great time at the expo and hope it is close enough to drive to again but I also hope they stay far away from Roberts. Too much pressure from all the tournaments out there as it is!

I would guess in California. They did east coast last year. Middle of the country this year. Bet they do west coast next year. They may do Sacramento River again. Although if it is in California, I wish it was on a lake that they stock trout on. Those bass get huge eating those trout. I bet you would see huge bags. I just don't see them doing the same region two years in a row. However much I would love to have it in DFW. A top 5 media market would be a great thing for the sport.

I remember that White Rock tourney. It was in 95. My dad took me to the weigh in. Jimmy Houston signed a picture for me. It hung on my wall in my room for years. Really thank my dad for that one, great memory.

We will see when the venue is announced ... but for now my guess would be Texas...

They have had 2 of the last 3 in Oklahoma. I bet they go back east or south for next year. Texas will probably have a shot at 2018

With the new Dallas Cowboys training facility in Frisco that will seat 12,000, Lewisville or Ray Roberts would be awesome.

The Toyota Texas Bass Classic will be at Ray Roberts this year, but the concert and venue is in Frisco at the soccer stadium. I am interested to know if they are going to bring fish in. They may just catch and release.

Even though Fork has a slot I think it would make a great classic location. Monster bags would be needed to win it. You could weigh it like they do the Toyota Tournament out there so you get rid of the slot. They could still bring the big toads to show off to the crowd.

That would be the rumor of Canyon. I'll eat a dirty sock if they EVER announce Canyon as anything other than a lake that fishing sucks at.

It was actually 1997 and the winner was Doug Garrett. I've been fishing the bait he used to win that event for over 18 years now. Won two C.A.S.T. Classics with it in 1998 and 1999. It's one of the best pitching and flipping baits ever as far as I'm concerned. My daughter just caught a 10 pounder on Conroe two weeks ago with it. Some of my friends know what it is and people still don't have enough confidence in it to fish it!!!
