This time of year I like either a citrus or a bait with some lavender in the pattern. I'm not sure that would work now with the water high and I'm unsure of the water color.
I laugh everytime I hear someone say fish a different lake. Texoma is probably the only lake I fish that I have never zeroed. The thing about texoma and other larger lakes you really have to pick one area of the lake to break down and work that section of the lake or you will be running the lake and spending all your time driving.
These were caught 3rd week of March last year. My 5 weighed 25.48 with a 8.93 kicker and my partners weighed 12 something with one almost 10. If it had been a team weight we would of had 34-35. All on jerkbaits.
Chris B is right Texoma is one of the best cold water lakes to fish. Several different patterns will work. Square bill crank baits, shakey heads, Carolina rigs, jigs, jerk baits, and spoons. Oh! don't forget that stupid A-rig that I can only catch stripers on.
The lake is a 617 which is where it's supposed to be this time of year. They have been generating for quite awhile and because of that the water has yet to clear up. I will be out there Saturday to try and catch a few.

What do you mean "generating for quite a while?" Sorry, I'm new to the area. Thanks!
Denison dam is a hydro electric, meaning it flows water through turbines to produce electricity. With the water constantly moving, it will stay stirred up till they shut the gates.
