Anyone fishing this week? Where at?

Thinking about going fishing late this week before we get more rain. Thinking about hitting either Athens or fork but not sure how the water will look like with all the run off from this past weekend. Anyone live on either lake or pass by it and know what the water clarity will be? Trying to decide whether to go fishing or try to put a deer in the freezer.

I have a 4 hr offshore trip booked in Ensenada, Puerto Rico for Wednesday. My last trip to this construction project.

Conroe tomorrow. Going in completely blind. Not sure what to expect.

Headed to fork Wednesday. Gonna go for broke a throw big baits and go for a giant. Might not get a bite, might get lucky.

Wife is going to Tulsa to visit friends so I will probably take the long 4 mile drive to Rayburn and fish. I may even take the long drive to the Mill Creek ramp and put in there.

As muddy as the lake is going to be, I may just watch football.

Friday, it is off the Las Vegas and Lake Mead + the canals in fron of the Venetian.
I hear their poker room has a lot of "fish" in it.

The only secret trick I found to catch fish on Athens is to just put something in the water!!

Haha, been out there a couple times and this seems to hold up. Caught a few both trips, couple nice ones mixed in as well.

Athens on Wed or Thur, maybe both. Red/white Nitro. Been same time since I've been there, how's the lake fishing?

I went yesterday and caught 18 in 2.5 hrs the water is muddy due to the rain but its always been a good lake if its slow In the grass go find them in the deep water and you'll catch them on anything that looks like a shad

Gonna try Squaw for the first time in a few months this Friday and see how that goes.

I will be fishing a benefit tournament at lake Fork. A Southwest flight attendant was involved in an accident and is in need of help with medical bills, so I plan to be there to help any way I can. There are area lakes that are turning on right now. Can't say where I'm going till after I fish it on Friday. Heck if I do well, I still won't say but it's getting very little attention.

I've been on Athens every day this week and been bust'n some heads on jigs along the main lake grass lines, Monday had the only bigger bass, my bud had one around 5 and I had one around 7lbs but we had good numbers of 1.5's to 4lb'ers...Tuesday was good just for numbers with big fish around 4 all on jigs and chatter bait...today I only caught 19 bass mix of buzz bait and jig, best being around 3lbs then the wind started blowing hard and the fish pulled off and suspended and that's all she wrote...think I will finish the week on Palestine for a change of sceanerie...if your heading to Athens fish the outside grass line, the water is clear for as much rain that came down, a lot of Lilly pads are under water...
