Thank You Skeeter - 06/14/15 03:12 PM

I just wanted to say THANK YOU to the folks with Skeeter Boats. This was the 2nd year they hosted the Skeeter Super 6 High School Invitational in conjunction with the Skeeters Owners Tournament. Eighteen high school teams from across Texas, six teams each representing 3 different high school fishing organizations (THSBA, HHSFC and FAN) squared off as 3-twelve student teams, fishing for $15,000 in scholarship money, TFO rods, Costa sunglasses and other prizes.

THSBA came away with the win, defending their title from last year. Students from Allen, Bullard, Burleson Centennial, Flower Mound, Paris North Lamar and Wills Point will all get a $1,250 scholarship to help further their education.

Skeeter really rolls out the red carpet for the students and boat captains. At The Friday night pre-tournament meeting, Skeeter had several Elite Series pros there to mingle with the students. Alton Jones, Brandon Palanuik, Mark Davis, Mark Menendez, Chris Zaldain, Todd Faircloth and a few others were all present. It was really cool for the students to get to visit with these anglers. Our kids from Bullard really liked Brandon Palanuik!!

The boat captains were presented with a pair of Costas and a $100 Visa gift card. Just first class all the way by Skeeter.

Once again, thank you so much Skeeter. You are really making a big difference in the lives of our kids by hosting events like the Skeeter Super 6, as well as your other involvement in high school fishing. You are appreciated more than you know!!!

Tim, Good seeing you there. Congrats to your High School teams there. I know those guys worked hard to get to that point and then to succeed is even better. I am glad that Skeeter assisted and maybe that is one of the main reasons I am on my 5th Skeeter Boat.
