Well ,wish the Sabine had anything to do with Fork, but sadly it does not .

The older gentleman at Oak Ridge told me that there was an agreement not to pump any water during the month of March. So if the rain continues we could see the lake come up a few more feet at least. That would be great news!

I think the snow melt will contribute more than we think.

What exactly is the definition of "nonflood flooding?"

Re: Let It Rain, Flood Warning - 03/01/15 11:48 PM

Whats ironic is Hubbard and Lavon full in 2012...This a combination of Zebra muscles, bad conservation, irregular rain patterns, bridge building, and a lack of enough lakes..BAD CONSERVATION..I said it..

I hate it that Fork is so low and the lakes here around are full... (Pines-Caddo) Wish we could send some to Fork.....

not as much as we need, it roughly takes about 10"+ to equal to about an inch of rain since most of the snow over the metroplex wasn't a dense or wet snow and more of a dry snow it won't add up till very much at all. I know it doesn't make that much sense but that's science.

Any update after the snows melted? Did it help at all?

Current level is -6.18

As mentioned the snow melt is not a huge help. The good news is the ground is so saturated that if we just get some good rain soon it will help greatly. The bad news is the rain in the forecast has steadily become less and less.

After Thursday it is back to the eight year drought. Maybe we can get one of those good ole turd floaters now that the ground is soaked . Must have been over eight years ago. I fished a little tournament where it rained eight inches in less than twelve hours on Fork.
