Lavon is one foot higher than it was a month ago. One foot higher than it was this time last year. The East Fork of the Trinity was running pretty good this after noon.

Yes!! Agree, but can this next round be just rain please?? You can keep all that white stuff farther up north, PLEASE! Someone go up to Amarillo and close the dang gate.... God Bless
It can't hurt and has to help a little. I thought I heard this has been one of the wettest Febs in history around here but I don't know if I heard that right or not. But it seems like it has rained once a week at least since January
The only reason any lake in East Texas is low is that water is being pulled out of it. Every lake in the Tyler area is full or above normal. Lakes south and east are full. Cypress Springs and Pines are above normal and Sandlin will probably be full in a few days, so it's not just a matter of rain not falling far enough north in East Texas to help the lakes above Tyler. We've had plenty of rain in this part of the state...we just have too many people and use too much water for the number of lakes we have.
I guarantee some of these dfw lakes will come up. Arlington will probably be close to full after the next 9 days. Worth, grapevine, and EM will probably come up a decent amount.
I see that Fork has come up 4 inches in the last week. Not much but its a start. I hope it rains all next month. Hate fishing in the rain but I have a rain suit.
Rain. snow, sleet, ice it all is water. When it freezes, it'll melt and runoff just like if it was all rain. I don't know about yall but it seems to me like the lakes rise faster when it freezes and then melts and that runs off! So im happy with anything that falls!
