With all the new talk about Chirp technology, I thought I would share this with everyone. Some of it might be to technical, but the best thing to understand about some of the new fish finders with Chirp is the fact that they are not really equipped with a true Chirp transducer. This article does a great job of explaining the difference.

I have a TM150 transducer on mine. Is that not a CHIRP transducer?

My grandpa's sonar used to chirp when we'd run over fish. This is old news...

Yours is true chirp.

I have me a brand new Elite 9 with chirp setting here in my office, hopefully will be installed in the next couple of days.
